FEMMEETUPS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Femmeetups is a women’s community built around thoughtfully curated experiences and real-life connection. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Femmeetups website, why we use it, how it may be processed, and the choices and rights available to you.
1. Who we are
Femmeetups is currently operated independently by the founder of Femmeetups.
For questions about privacy or your personal information, contact:
2. Information we collect
When you join the Femmeetups list, we may collect:
- your full name
- your email address
- your city
- your Instagram username, if you choose to provide it
- the types of experiences you are interested in
- your marketing communication consent
- the date and time of your submission
We may also collect limited information about how visitors interact with our website when optional analytics have been accepted.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- manage the Femmeetups waitlist and community interest
- understand which cities and types of experiences are of interest
- send invitations, new experience announcements and occasional Femmeetups updates where you have consented to receive them
- respond to questions, requests or collaboration enquiries
- operate, protect and improve the Femmeetups website and community
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases for processing
Depending on how you interact with Femmeetups, we process personal information based on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Femmeetups, or where processing is necessary to respond to a request you make.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
5. Email communications
If you choose to receive Femmeetups communications, we may send you invitations, new experience announcements and occasional updates.
Consent to receive these communications is separate from your website analytics preferences.
You can withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by contacting femmeetups@gmail.com or by using an unsubscribe option where one is provided in an email.
6. Website analytics and consent
We use privacy-conscious website analytics to help us understand how the Femmeetups website is used.
We currently use PostHog for website and product analytics. Optional analytics are activated only after you choose to allow analytics.
If you reject optional analytics, PostHog analytics are not activated based on that choice.
Our current PostHog configuration does not use session replay, automatic form capture or automatic input capture. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, city, Instagram username, selected interests, marketing consent or waitlist form contents to PostHog.
We also use Google Tag Manager as tag-management infrastructure and Google Consent Mode to communicate consent choices to compatible Google technologies.
Google Analytics and advertising pixels are not currently active on the Femmeetups website through this setup. If we introduce additional analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update our consent implementation and this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
Optional analytics and advertising-related consent signals are denied by default until the relevant consent has been given.
Your analytics preference is stored in your browser so that the website can remember your choice. You can change your analytics preference at any time using the Analytics Preferences link available on the website.
Analytics consent is separate from consent to receive Femmeetups emails.
7. Service providers
We use selected service providers to operate Femmeetups. These currently include:
- Lovable / Lovable Cloud — website, hosting and backend infrastructure used to operate the site and store waitlist submissions.
- PostHog — website and product analytics when optional analytics have been accepted.
- Google Tag Manager / Google Consent Mode — tag-management and consent infrastructure used to support the website’s measurement setup.
These providers may process information on our behalf or as otherwise described in their applicable terms and privacy documentation.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including managing the Femmeetups list, communicating with people who have requested updates, responding to requests and meeting applicable legal or operational requirements.
If you ask us to delete your personal information or withdraw your consent, we will take appropriate steps, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR where applicable, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal information
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion of your information
- request restriction of certain processing
- object to certain processing
- request portability of your information where applicable
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
- lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority
To exercise a privacy right, contact femmeetups@gmail.com.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no online service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. International data processing
Some service providers may process information using infrastructure located in different countries. Where required by applicable data protection law, appropriate safeguards should be used for transfers of personal information outside the European Economic Area.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Femmeetups develops, our services or technology providers change, or legal requirements evolve.
The latest version will be available on this website and the “Last updated” date will be revised when appropriate.
